On this episode we talk about some of the tips and tricks that we have used to make our Disney vacations much more enjoyable! Hopefully some of these will help take the stress off and make your next Disney vacation even more magical!
[00:00:05] And welcome to the Enchanted Mic Podcast. I'm Daniel. And I'm Michelle. And you are listening to episode four, where we will be talking about our tips and tricks for conquering Walt Disney World. Yes, we're very excited to bring you some of the things that we've learned over the last few years of going. Yep, absolutely. But before we get into that, let's talk about a little bit of news that has come out in this past week or so.
[00:00:28] Yeah, we mentioned that Tiana's and Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot and Tiana's Bayou Adventure, which is the old Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom, have moved from virtual queues to standby queues, which I think is really exciting because many people want to ride it. And if you didn't snag that virtual queue at 0700 or again at that one o'clock time, you wouldn't be able to ride it. So now you can stand in line to wait for it. So interesting enough.
[00:00:56] Yeah, hopefully it will take some of the park capacity away a little bit. You know, a lot of people will be going to those rides and maybe free up some ride times for other rides. Yeah, but more excitingly, you can ride it just if you want to stay in line, if you're willing to ride it. Yeah, I haven't ridden Guardians yet and both of us have not ridden Tiana's. We cannot wait. So I'm excited to try those. And a very good friend of mine is contemplating taking her little girl because she really wants to ride Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
[00:01:25] And so I had said in another podcast that it's hard to get the virtual queue. So she was thinking about not going. But now that it's you can stand in line. It's time to go. It's time to go. I said definitely, definitely go. So let's see. We never tried the virtual queue for it because we just didn't really want to see if we could get it. And sometimes the times that we were going to get were during our son's nap time. So it didn't really work out for us. But now we can stand in line. We can stand in line. So today is actually the first day that it's open.
[00:01:53] So it is February 25th. And this is the first day where there is no virtual queues for the Tiana's Bayou Adventure. And the line is open. So let's see. It is now 1.30 on a Tuesday afternoon. It's beautiful in North Florida. I suspect it's probably similar in Central Florida. Yep. And the wait time for Tiana's is 35 minutes. Wow. That is amazing. That for a ride that has moved from a virtual queue to a standby.
[00:02:23] Is that what we call it? Standby line? Standby. 30 minutes. Totally doing it next time. So guys, seize the day and stand in line for Tiana's. Absolutely. And then over in Epcot, Guardians of the Galaxy is 60 minutes. That's not bad. Which isn't bad because when it opened up this morning, it was 170. Yes. Which was crazy. And it's gone. That's a bit much. Yeah. It's a great ride. Great ride. Checking it throughout the day. It's been going between 50, 60, 75 minutes. And I've been checking Tiana's for a friend of mine.
[00:02:50] And it really went from, I think this morning it was at 45. And then 20. 20 minutes for a little while. Yeah. So awesome. Awesome wait times. I think that's totally doable, especially with small children too. Let's hope it stays that way. We'll keep checking. Yep. Absolutely. All right. Let's get into this. So these are kind of our tips and tricks that we've, I think we were saying earlier that we've done. A lot of people use them. These are like little tips and tricks. They're not like tremendously huge hacks, but just little things that make the trip a little bit easier. Yeah.
[00:03:18] And it's, and some of these may be not for you because we do drive to the parks. A lot of people can't drive, you know, or if you run a car, it's easier. But if you fly there, some of these might not work for you. Yeah. All right. So the first one obviously is plan, plan and plan some more. I laugh because I have two friends that are planning Disney trips right now and they're texting me and they're like, what about this? Or what about that? I mean, there's a lot like, Hey, I was like, Hey, grab Tusker house, grab this, you know, grab different things and, you know, talk about lightning lanes, premier passes.
[00:03:48] And there are so many things. And now don't get overwhelmed with it because it's actually so much fun to plan. But yes, it's really helpful if you know just a little bit of information prior to going in. And so yeah, absolutely. Try to book it as soon as you can. As far as you can. One of our things that we discovered kind of early on of our trips is we rent DVC points. So that is something that we usually do most of the time. Probably 90% of the time we go is we rent DVC points.
[00:04:14] Now that's a big hack for us because we get to, we get to stay at the deluxe resorts at a moderate price. It's a moderate price. Yeah. And you, and you get the deluxe perks as well. So, and we've never knock on wood, never had problems renting points. We have heard that some people do. Yes. We go through a few different websites. If you're curious about that, you can reach out. Yeah. Reach out. We're happy to tell you what we know. We can only speak from our experience. Now there are some Facebook groups, uh, just word of caution.
[00:04:41] You know, there have been a bunch of scams on there, but there are some good ones. So do your research. A lot of people reach out on those, uh, Facebook groups and ask for references and a lot of them have contracts too. So that helps also, but just, just be where we protect yourself. If you do use a Facebook group that rents out DVC points. Yeah. There's some legit, but also not, but we use a few different websites, but we've had really good success. And that's where we're our next one. We rented old key West for our one in December, but we've done a few in the past.
[00:05:11] So that's one thing. If you want to stay deluxe and you don't want to pay the full price. I mean, I think it's really almost half the price or it's a price of a moderate. And you can find, there's a couple of websites that will have distress points like flash sales that are, you know, if you can get up in them. If you're into last minute trips too, there's a really good way to hit up a last minute trip and save some money and then get to stay at a deluxe. Yep. Absolutely. All right. So the next one, and we haven't really done this one, but it makes a lot of sense. It makes so much sense. We're doing it one day.
[00:05:38] Is have groceries delivered to your room with all these subscription places, Instacart, Walmart, and delivery. Get groceries. Orlando has numerous different places that will literally, we always pull up and there's people with like getting groceries out of wagons, delivering into rooms, like bottled waters and snacks and all these things. I'm like, Oh, why didn't we think of that every time we go? I'm like, we could have done that. We could have had somebody just deliver a few. Yeah, absolutely. You know, and saved us a little bit of money.
[00:06:05] And if you're staying in a villa and you have a full kitchen, you can get all your breakfast stuff delivered. I mean, there's just endless options. So, I mean, definitely consider that, especially if you're staying for more than three or four nights. Or you're flying and you don't want to bring that stuff with you and you can't get to the grocery store because we have a car. At least we could run, you know, if there is one, but definitely a good idea. Another one too. And like I said, this is kind of what I was talking about earlier. If you do drive, this one is kind of our kind of thing that we like to do is we budget in money for preferred parking. So as an annual pass holder, parking is free.
[00:06:36] Or if you're staying on property, it's free. Standard parking is free. But we pay for the preferred. So it's 25 extra dollars. And that puts you pretty much up front. At the entrance to the parks. Other than Magic Kingdom. Anything but Magic Kingdom. This hack is for Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot. Not for Magic Kingdom. We take the bus to Magic Kingdom because if you prefer park, you prefer park at the TTC for Magic Kingdom. And you still have to take a monorail over. Monorail or the ferry. But so the other parks, we do this.
[00:07:02] And we've thoroughly enjoyed it because our son still needs his naps. Yes, he does. Daddy needs his naps. Yes. So it's nice to be able to leave the park whenever. And you're right there. You're not trying to find your car, get on the tram, go all through the parking lot. It's just nice to be able to get to your car quick and leave. Yeah, absolutely. And if you forget something in your car, I mean, it's just nice to head out there and go. And it is also good for all the parks. So if you're park hopping and driving, you pay for preferred parking, you can park hop to those other two parks.
[00:07:31] And if you are going to Magic Kingdom and need to go to the TTC, you have preferred parking there. Yeah. So we sometimes will go to Animal Kingdom and do preferred parking, which really takes you right up front. And then later that night, we'll go home, we'll take a nap, and then we'll do the Hollywood Studios. We do the Fantasmic. And then we get to park right up front for that too. So definitely worth the $25 to us. Yes. So just something to think about if you do have a car or you did rent and you are a stay on property, you're earning a pass order. Yeah, it's very nice for kids. Strollers, whatnot. Yes, absolutely. All right.
[00:08:01] The next one is to buy Disney gift cards at box stores. Yeah. So like Target has usually really good deals with their Circle Rewards, Sam's Club. The deals really are on the higher end credit card gift cards, about the $500 gift cards. Usually save about $50, but there are some where you can get the $50 ones for $45. So it doesn't sound like much, but it adds up. If you start planning your trip a year in advance and every two weeks you're buying a gift card
[00:08:29] and saving $5 here, $50 here, it adds up. It adds up. And we've done that. We've kind of each time we've gone somewhere or we kind of buy a little bit of a gift card and we save it and then we put it towards a trip. So then we save a little bit of money at the end and your trip's paid for. Exactly. Or part of the trip is paid for or the hotel is paid for. Yeah. So. Next one. Yep. Next one. Mobile ordering food is your best friend. This is amazing. This is the best thing to come from technology from Disney. Absolutely. Is your kids are screaming, you're hungry, it's hot.
[00:08:58] You order it and you go pick it up. And the last thing you want to do is stand in line. Another line. Another line. Yes. That's so true. And whether you're starving. So this has been great. We've utilized it. We've actually been outside of Magic Kingdom. On the monorail. On the monorail or we're taking the boat over from Polynesia or that Polynesian and we wanted Casey's Corner and we're wanting hot dogs. So we mobile ordered it and as soon as we tapped the Magic Bands in, we hit I'm here. And by the time we got to Casey's Corner, our food was ready. So all we do is find a seat. Dole whips too. So it's nice. We kind of split up.
[00:09:27] Hega grabs the food. We grab the seat and chairs because you know sometimes that can be hard to get and Magic Kingdom is finding somewhere to actually sit down and eat your food. So it buys you a little bit more time. It's like Hunger Games out there looking for seats. It's so true. But yeah, mobile order. I highly recommend using that. Absolutely. And you can use that at your hotel if you're on Disney property. You can use it anywhere on our property. And it'll pop up all the restaurants that take mobile ordering within the area that you're at, within the park. So yes, mobile order.
[00:09:55] Another one is make dining reservations each day that you want to eat at the park or even just at Disney Springs. Yeah, definitely. Disney is notorious for as many people. There's so many people at one time. And so there's only so many sit down tables that you can have. And this is for seated restaurants really. These are for table service. Table service restaurants. Because I mean, sometimes you just want to sit down. And sometimes that fast quick service, you're not guaranteed a seat. So it's nice to have one time where you can actually sit and eat your meal.
[00:10:23] You may be eating on top of a trash can like at Epcot, which is fine. That's a ride of passage. It's a vibe. And it's nice sometimes. But you also want to sit down after a long hot day. So if you could book your reservations as far as possible. So you can do 60 days if you're staying at a resort. And if you're staying at a resort, it's 60 days up to 10 nights. And you can do it all at once. Yes. All other guests is 60 days. But you can only do like 60 days out from each day. So if you're staying on property, you can book all yours all at once at the 60 day mark.
[00:10:53] Right. And then off property guests can do 60 days from their first night and then 60 days from their second night. So you can only do essentially one day at a time. One day at a time. So, but do that at your 60 day mark and make things a lot easier. Okay. So the next one, sorry about that, is bring your own water bottle. This is kind of what we love to do. We love to go to the Epcot store or the Magic Game store and get a really cool stainless steel park. Park bottle. Park bottle.
[00:11:21] Because we always tend to forget the one we have at home. Yes. And water, water, water is so important. Now they do provide free water cups with ice. Sometimes it's hard to get because there's lines everywhere. They do have a refilling station at Hollywood Studios. Cosmic Rays has them. Yeah. They're all, they're all, so water's free and like. Disney. Disney. In the parks. In the parks. So, and we also fill up sometimes at the restaurant on the way into the park. But having a nice ice cold water bottle is so refreshing and so amazing.
[00:11:50] And it keeps you from having to stand in those lines. So definitely bring it. It'll save you money because they charge like $7 for a bottle of water inside Magic Kingdom. So if you can avoid that and stay hydrated. Absolutely. So this next one we actually used, I think it was one of our, in October when we went. Yes. We booked our Magic Kingdom day when there was a Halloween party. Now this can go also for the Christmas party. Right. And this is controversial because it decreases the time that you have at the park.
[00:12:18] Because Halloween and Christmas parties start around 6 o'clock. They start kicking you out, what, about 4.35? I think 6 o'clock is when actually you have to be out of the park. So if you didn't buy a park, or if you didn't buy a. A party ticket. A party ticket. A party ticket, then you only have a very limited time. So often people won't come that day because they want their full hours in Magic Kingdom. Or they have the party tickets. So they're not. And if you have a party ticket, the rides are going to be walk-on. So you're not going to spend all day in the same park you're going to have for you. Well, you may not. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:12:45] So for people that don't have party tickets, we recommend booking your Magic Kingdom day on those Halloween parties or Christmas parties because the crowds will be way less. The crowds are so much less. Wait times are less. Yes. And if you rope drop it, you can easily get all the stuff you want done in that day before 6 o'clock. Yes. Before they kick you out. Now you won't be able to experience really Magic Kingdom at nighttime because they're cutting it off. So a lot of people like happily ever after. And that's why they do their Magic Kingdom day, which is the nighttime spectacular for that.
[00:13:13] But if you want to get rides done during the day and you want lower crowds, this is where you need to be. Or you can go to Epcot that night and watch the fireworks there or Hollywood Studios. That's true. Do your phantasmics. If you have park hoppers. If you have park hoppers. Yeah. Absolutely. So the next one, and I'll let you talk about this one because this is one that you started doing for us. The dessert parties. Yes. Yeah. This is probably before we had kiddos. Oh, yeah. Um, but I thought dessert parties are really great way. It's an all you care to enjoy type dessert.
[00:13:40] Um, most of them do come with drinks, alcohol beverages, and then you get premier seating for the nighttime spectacular. And we have done animal kingdom in Hollywood studios. Yes. The animal kingdom one is when they had the, uh, the show in the lake right there where they used to, where they did kite tails. The kite tails. Yes. That was really neat too. It was really beautiful. I don't think they do the nighttime spectacular there anymore. So that's unfortunate. Now the dessert parties are expensive, so it's definitely a splurge. Um, and it's later at night, of course, when that spectacular or whatever the nighttime
[00:14:09] show is going on, but it was a really neat way to experience it and then get a front hand road. And Hollywood Studios, we did the Star Wars spectacular and the pyrotechnics on it. Literally the fire. You could feel the fire. They put you right up front in a separately roped off area. So you're not, sit down, sit down, you're not fighting for. Not far from the bathroom too. Nope. It's always nice. Not fighting for a seat. You're not worried about losing your spot. No. And you got to go into like these, the Hollywood's had these like almost like storm bay doors. Launch bay. Launch bay. That was a launch bay doors.
[00:14:36] And I mean the, the snacks, the desserts aren't like the most amazing things on the planet, but they're pretty good. They're pretty good. We were in there for what? For people like probably 30 of us maybe. Yeah. 30. It wasn't a large crowd. But they give you this really cool tag and you feel. They're cool. I think we've got a cup too, right? Yeah. That was a secret gift. A little secret gift. A little mug. So, but dessert parties are. If your budget is, if you're looking for something to be a little extravagant, that is definitely something that. Epcot has them. Magic Kingdom has them. Magic Kingdom. Now the Magic Kingdom one I don't believe comes with alcoholic beverages. Yes. There is one that does. Okay.
[00:15:06] Well, there you go. Yep. There is one. And they have several different ones, I believe. So. And they're pretty, I mean, they're over a hundred dollars per person. So, you know. Yeah. Take that what you owe. Yeah. So, if you have a bunch of kids, it may not be your cup of tea. Yeah. So, this is kind of one of our little hacks if we're not staying at Saratoga Springs and we want to go to Disney Springs. We don't like parking in the garages. So. The garages are far for us because we usually start on the other side. Yes. So, they're not terrible. People park in there all the time.
[00:15:36] But it's like a parking garage, like a traditional parking garage where you have to like go up. Yeah. And then walk all the way down. Yeah. So, we like starting near Saratoga Springs. So, what we do is we'll go in there and we'll order something from the Artisan Palette and then we'll drive over to Congress Park. We leave our car parked at Saratoga Springs. And walk over. And then walk over. Walk over to Disney Springs. Disney Springs. So, that's something that kind of we like to do. But you have to tell them when you come to the gates because you're not staying there when you go to Saratoga. And we do. We go, hey, we're going to go eat at Artisan's Palette.
[00:16:05] And we grab an inexpensive. We do a snack or something. Snack or something inexpensive to eat. And then we walk over. Let our kid munch on a snack while we walk over there. And so, it's a nice way to park close but not have to be in the garage. Yeah. Absolutely. And walk along the lake over to. We don't know if that's really acceptable. If you can stay there and park where you walk over. But that's what we do. Yeah. We've never been told otherwise. Yep. All right. So, this one we actually didn't start doing until this last trip. Yeah.
[00:16:35] And I don't know why because this is a very simple one for people with strollers. But it is a game changer. So, the giant carabiner. Yeah. Like the six inch carabiners. Heavy duty carabiners. Ladies and gentlemen. This is the best. Yes. We actually got it ordered to. I ordered it from Amazon to our room at the Grand Floridian. And they delivered it wrong. Anyways. But we eventually got it. They delivered it to Grand Floridian. And we were able to put our like 50 pound backpack.
[00:17:04] How much do you think it weighs? Like 15? 20? Yeah. Onto this carabiner. Attached to. That's a whole nother episode. Yes, it is. Onto our stroller. And. No more carrying the backpack. No more carrying the backpack. The only thing you got to be cautious about is when you take your kid out of the stroller. It doesn't flip the stroller. It doesn't flip. But. But. Yeah. Not having a sweaty backpack on. Because we just have to. We would. Both share the backpack. And we both share the sweat from the backpack. Which is. This is a much better idea. You don't have to carry anything.
[00:17:32] And if you have a water bottle that has a handle. You get a. You can attach the other carabiner. To the other side. So you're not carrying a water bottle. Or you're not carrying the backpack. You're carrying nothing. So nice. So nice. All right. This was. This next one is going to be about security. Right? Yeah. So going through security. Security. As. We found out the hard way. A bunch of times. A bunch of times. It's. Which I actually talked to the security guy one time. To figure out why I kept getting pulled off to the side. You kept getting pulled off to the side. I was like. What does he have? Is he. Like. Does he look. So it came.
[00:18:02] Suspicious. First time was the buttons. We had two buttons on the back. Of the backpack. And what he's talking about is as large. You know. Disney gives you these. You get free buttons if you have. It's your first time there. First time visit. Anything you're celebrating. They'll give you a button. Right. Most of the shops. That's what's causing it. So I took them off. And then. It kept happening. Well. What it was is. Our battery charger. Portable battery charger. For the cell phones. Yes. So we always bring a portable charger. Just in case our cell phones die. Yes. And so if you take that out.
[00:18:32] And hold it out in front of you. And obviously. If you don't have anything. Other contraband in your backpack. You should be fine going through security. So. Security can take a while. Depending on what time of day you go. So any little hack. That keeps you from being pulled over to the side. Separated from your family. To kind of. You know. Be sorted through. It can help. So taking those. Those big things. That charger. Cell out of your backpack. And holding it forward. And then walking through security. They see that. And it doesn't alarm. And they don't have to pull you to the side. Same thing with those buttons. Take the buttons off the backpack.
[00:19:01] And or put them on your shirt. So they can see them. That's what's beeping. But there's just some ideas. And the stroller canopy too. Oh yeah. That's another thing. If you have strollers. So you go in a separate line. If you have a stroller. Is always. What I do is. I fully extend my canopy over. In a way that. Because what they're looking for. I would suspect. I don't know. I'm not security there. But it's for something that's tucked underneath the canopy. So they make you fully expand the canopies. Take everything under the basket out. So before I get in that line. I extend my canopy. And I hold the stuff in the bottom of the basket real quick.
[00:19:31] So they can just see me. Look at it. And then they move you on. If not. You have to sit there. Pull the canopy out. Take everything underneath the basket out. It just adds to it. A little bit of time. Not terrible. But just little hacks to really get you through those lines. And to speed it up. Especially if you're a rope drop. And you're trying to get somewhere. Yes. You're trying to get to that security line. Or you're running late. And you've got a ride book for a landing lane. Like it's just. Yeah. So these little things can just help decrease the frustrations. Yes. That's what I would say. Absolutely. Because when they pull you off to the side. They check through everything.
[00:20:01] Now yes. It just takes a while. It's just a hassle. Yes. Along with the stroller. Also is the name tag for the stroller. Yeah. There's a million and one strollers. Anyways. It is like. It is like a stroller shopping mart. And everybody has a black stroller. I think there's an occasional person who has a different color. So a name tag for your stroller. Something that makes it stand out. Some people have Christmas lights. Like battery Christmas lights. Some people have different things. Anything that makes it stand out. So it is easier to find. Is. And when you put your stroller in stroller parking.
[00:20:30] It does not stay in that spot. Yes. That you put it in. There is actually a stroller parking attendant. A Disney cast member. That makes the parking very efficient. They make sure there's no gaps. So your stroller will move from where you park it. Multiple times. Multiple times. Yep. So having that name tag. You can just walk down the line. Right. It's not going to be in like. Oh I put it at the end. It's not going to be at the end. When you get off that ride. Nope. Won't be there. So. I'd highly recommend going Etsy. Amazon. Whoever makes. Etsy makes really cute ones. That's where we got ours. Yeah. And attach it to your stroller. Now if you rent one from Disney. They give you one.
[00:21:00] Just a little paper one. Yeah. If you rent a stroller. Yeah. Kingdom Strollers 2. Which we'll talk about in other episodes. Where you can rent strollers. They give you one as well. Yes. So but. Recommend that if you're coming with your own stroller. Definitely have a name tag for it. Yeah. So. It'll make it easier. Again. Little things to keep the visit from being frustrating. Yes. So this next one is. Skyliner. Yes. And most of the time this has worked for us. Except for this one time recently. Yeah. We kind of got the nasty eye. But. Yeah. We always request when we go on the Skyliner.
[00:21:28] To have just our party on the Skyliner. Yeah. Now it wasn't bad during COVID. Because they weren't going to put other people together. Yeah. Now that they are relaxing all things COVID. Yeah. They try to cram those things. Especially when it's busy. They're going to cram those things as full as possible. Yes. And that's like our favorite ride. Is just sitting there with our kiddo. And listening to the sounds. And we just kind of use it as a. As an actual ride. Absolutely. And it's just so relaxing. And it gives you a different view of the resorts. And some of the parks. But. You can request just to ride. Right. Because they'll kind of like.
[00:21:58] There's always two lines. And they're always like. You go here. And you go here. You know. And they point you to that. And we'll ask like. Hey. Can we please ride alone? And majority of time. They'll say. Absolutely. Okay. You take this one. Now. If it's park closing. Yes. Or park opening. And it's bananas. And it's bananas. Do not. Try not to request that. Yeah. Because they're not going to do that. They're just going to. They told us. They said. No. We're too busy. And then just stuffed us all together. Which the people we rode were lovely. Yes. So really it was fine. But as a hack. You can always ask. If you feel uncomfortable. Or you're sick.
[00:22:26] Or you have an immunocompromised. Somebody in your group. You are more than welcome to let them know that. So that they can separate you. Absolutely. All right. Next one. Okay. This one we. Most recently. Request railings for the beds. In the hotel room. So we have a toddler. And he has a bed rail at home. And so any. On Disney property. Resorts. You can request. A railing to go on the beds. Now they can bring two. Three. Four. How many you needed. The lady. When I called at the Grand Floridian. She brought two railings.
[00:22:56] Plus they brought extra pillows. So they could pad the wall. For our kiddo. Because it was kind of. It was the couch bed. That leaned up against the wall. Yeah. And a little gap. And it created the most. Adorable little toddler bed. Ever. And it was. They came in. They actually did it themselves. And they secured the railing. And it was crazy. So it's. Things like that. That just make the visit so much easier. And so nicer. So much nice. So much more nice. It just made it really nice. And our son loved it. He felt super special. He had a special railings. And extra pillows. So. His little bed. Yeah. His little bed. So.
[00:23:26] Don't be afraid. They offer that as a service. Ask for it. Yeah. Along with the pack and play. Oh yeah. So. You can request a pack and play. If you need one. If you're flying in. And you're not renting it from. Like Kingdom Strollers or something. Yeah. Disney Resorts. We'll have it there. Just say. You can. I think on the app. That gives you an option. It gives you an option. But if to. You always let them know. Before you're on. And it comes with a crib sheet too. So it comes with a clean crib sheet. And the pack and play. Yep. And then at. Animal Kingdom. Sorry. When we stayed at the one. Art of Animation. They actually brung. Brung. Brought. Brought.
[00:23:56] Excuse me. Language. They brought us a mini crib. Like an actual miniature crib. With like regular big railings. And not a pack and play. Yeah. That's right. They did bring a crib. I forgot about that. Okay. All right. Next one is. Your rain gear. Bring the rain gear folks. It is. It's Florida. It will rain. It is Florida. Just plan on it raining. At some point. It may rain for five minutes. And it may not rain. Or it may rain from sun up to sun down. Yes. If you're coming anytime. Really anytime. Just bring. Bring a rain gear. And bring a high quality poncho.
[00:24:25] The ponchos in Disney. Are actually fairly good. But they're expensive. Yeah. So. But if you can get one. We bring one that's super large. Get them off Amazon. And get one that covers the backpack too. So if you're carrying a backpack. You want the poncho to go over the backpack. Or all of your stuff. If you haven't discovered the carabiners. You need one that's big to cover the backpack. Yes. It is. Yeah. Definitely get a nice quality rain. Because here's the thing too. When it rains. Everybody leaves. Well not everybody. A lot of times people kind of scurry away. And then some of the rides become way available. So it's kind of a great way to see the parks too. In a different light.
[00:24:55] Because it kind of looks really neat when it rains. I mean there's giant puddles. And it can flood too. So shoes. Make sure you bring appropriate footwear. Maybe backup footwear. If it's going to be a rainy day. Multiple pairs of shoes. Multiple pairs of socks. If your day looks like it's going to rain. Just bring those as backup. Because wet feet in a park is never fun. There's a lot of walking. But I definitely recommend. That and the stroller cover. The poncho for your stroller. Yes. They have specific ones that will fit your specific stroller. Yes.
[00:25:24] Which we've used several times. And it's a game changer too. Yeah. Just because your stroller is sitting out there in the rain. Getting just pounded. And your kids sits in a wet seat. And it is not fun. No. They're miserable. And then you're going to be miserable. Absolutely. So. And then this kind of goes into the. What we're talking about renting strollers and car seats. Which. Yeah. If you're coming in from out of town. There's several companies located in Orlando that do rent strollers. And many other things that you need. Diaper genies. Bottle warmers. Yeah. So there's an option for that. For you.
[00:25:55] Reach out to us and we can tell you that. I mean you can Google it too. But we'll be happy to tell you about some of the companies as well. Kingdom strollers of course is the one that we see most often used. And they have pretty good prices. We're actually going to use them for a double stroller. On our next trip. So we can give you some information on that. Yeah. Yeah. There's one on here that you didn't put. Yep. I'm surprised. What is it? Chafing. Oh yes. This is so real. This is. This is. This will ruin a vacation. It will. And. It's not. It is not a laughing matter. And I have experienced it. And never again. And I never have since then.
[00:26:24] So. We will not leave the parks. And you will see. Without this. A poor gentleman at some point in the park. Waddling. Waddling. Waddling. He has the chafe waddle. It's usually. We see it. And we feel so bad. And we want to like hand them our. It's either they're wearing jeans or khaki shorts. And they have the waddle. Usually kind of about three, four o'clock in the afternoon. Yes. It hurts so bad. And it just ruins the trip. I know. And I feel for them. You do. You do. And we. We pack the cream with us. We do. And there's all different options for this cream. There's like. There's A&D. There's Desitin diaper cream. Yeah.
[00:26:54] There's. Somebody else was telling me about this. Others have like. It's a certain rub. Like a rub that you put on too. And maybe I can link it in the. Or at least give you the name of it. I can't remember the name of it. But. You just roll it on. And it just creates like a barrier. So your thighs. When they rub together. Do not break down. Because it's hot. It's moist. And that will ruin a vacation. Nothing will ruin a vacation. Like some chafing man. You don't want to go anywhere. Because the next day. It's even worse. It's worse. And you're going to do just as much walking. Just as much heat. So. Highly recommend that.
[00:27:24] Put it in a park bag. Put it somewhere. That. You know. You can. Aquifer is a really good one. In our. Future episodes. We'll talk about our park bag. And what we pack. Yes. And everything. And that will be included. That's. Probably one of the first things we check. Number one. Right. Exactly. Bring seven gloves. So our last. Pricks is. Always be flexible. So. Yes. No matter how much you plan. How much you do your lightning lanes. Weather is going to do. I mean. Weather will come in. Circumstance changes. Always. A ride goes down. Right.
[00:27:54] Yes. Like this morning. Yes. Tiana's opened up. And it was down. It was down. First day at the standby queue. It was down. And you can. You can just look at all the negatives. And. And. And. And that can really. Make it. Make it. Make you not have an enjoyable trip. But. If you're flexible. If you go with the flow. You know there's going to be a bit of a wait. It's okay.
[00:28:24] Get a snack. Hang out. Play some games. Try something you've known. Try something new. Go somewhere different. Like I said. We do the Skyliner. And it's a ride. Yeah. So. Hop on the Skyliner. Go ride it for the while. Then come back and get back in line. Be flexible. As. Is a great one. Because it just. That's. Sometimes. That's how. Different things work out different ways. And it may not be the absolute way you planned it. But planning helps. And then be flexible with that. And you can have a super magical trip. Absolutely. All righty. I think that's all we got for you today. Yeah. I mean. I'm sure we got a bunch more. But those are kind of the ones that we've. Some of the ones we just kind of thought about. Off.
[00:28:53] Off the cusp in the last few days. Like hey. What have we had that helps us. Yeah. And enjoy our vacation a little bit more each time. And these are just small little things. That can make it more enjoyable. Yeah. Absolutely. And again. Y'all can reach us on Facebook at The Enchanted Mike. And on X at The Enchanted Mike. If you have questions or comments.
