[00:00:09] Welcome aboard, Islanders. You are on the Disney Skyliner. And welcome to The Enchanted Mic Podcast. I'm Daniel. And I'm Michelle. You're listening to Episode 1 of our debut podcast about all things Disney. Yeah, we're excited to bring to you the latest news and also our experiences throughout Disney. We've been going pretty consistently since 2017. We're lucky enough to have annual passes and live in Florida, so we're not too far from the parks.

[00:00:37] Thanks, and we hope to bring you some of the information that we've gathered over the last few years. Yeah, we are a family of four. We have a three-year-old and a three-month-old. So we have experience with the three-year-old several times, I think four times at the park. We've also started off our Disney adventures as Disney adults, as people like to call us. Yeah, we went solo without our, well, we didn't have any children at the time. And we felt, that's when we truly fell in love with it, just me and you.

[00:01:06] And that's an exciting way to experience the parks, too. And it just kind of morphed into a different experience and even more magic when we had our kids. Yeah, it's definitely a different perspective going with a toddler. You're not so much ride-centric. It's more experience, characters. Parades. Yeah, we never used to stand in line for characters. It shows. It's just me and you. Yeah, the shows are definitely something we never saw as Disney adults. But we'll be talking about all that and more on future episodes. Yeah, we'd love to bring you some information on the resorts.

[00:01:36] We'd love to stay on property within the Disney bubble, mostly for transportation, convenience to the parks. We have stayed off property a few times, and we hope to bring you some information and our review of that. And maybe some tips and tricks for parking. Because with children, it can get a little tricky getting them around, especially when they're having. Yeah, and we'll talk about kind of our philosophy, how we tackle the parks with a toddler. It's probably not how most people do it, but it works for us.

[00:02:06] Very kind of schedule-oriented, but we'll talk about that. Just some other stuff we have learned with a toddler. Dining, we love eating, too. We're big food people, so definitely we'll be chatting about food a lot. And we like the bars. Well, I like the bars, too. You like the bars, yeah. So I'll throw in some bar reviews as well. Very good, yes. And I will throw in some non- Mocktail reviews. Mocktail reviews, yes, because they are very expensive at Disney, as we all know. But they are very good, though. There's some really good ones. I've had a few, and they're pretty good. Yeah, absolutely. Like I said, we'll be talking about all that.

[00:02:35] But yeah, kind of how we started going, I guess, is 2017. Surprised Michelle with a trip to the Food & Wine Fest. We'd been a couple times prior to that, years before, but it was just kind of just a go-to-go. But 2017, we went. Food & Wine Fest, loved it. That afternoon when we came home, we bought annual passes that night. Yeah. We were hooked. We went that one time. And it was just really, there's some nostalgia from past trips. But really, it was just so magical. Yeah. And we've been pass holders since. Kept our passes through COVID.

[00:03:05] So that was an interesting experience, going during COVID when they reopened. We'll be touching on that. Yeah. So we'll have to update some of our reviews or revisit some of the resorts we went to, because we did go during the height of COVID. So it was very, very different than what it is now. Absolutely. But that's our experience. So we hope to bring you that information. And Disney Cruises. We took our first cruise in 2023 when our oldest now was about 15, 16 months old. Yeah. It was absolutely amazing. It was a five-day trip.

[00:03:35] And then we also took one just recently on the Fantasy last May. We enjoyed that. We took the grandparents on that one. They enjoyed it, kind of. Yeah. Yeah. So we'll talk about multi-generational trips as well and how to incorporate some older, some of the older folks and some of the younger folks together to make a good trip. Yeah. And we have, this year, we have three trips coming up. We have the most recent one's going to be in April, staying at the All-Star Music Resort.

[00:04:04] So that'll be our newborn's first Disney trip. Yeah. So we'll take you along with that. We'll review the resort, the bar, the food, transportation, everything. Yeah. And then we're going to also review, it's a family suite because we've been. Yes, it is a family suite. We're looking to get bigger rooms these days as a growing family. So all new things. Looking forward to that. And then November, we're probably going to be doing the Drury. Drury. So we stayed there once. And really enjoyed it.

[00:04:29] And then in December, we'll be staying at Old Key West, one-bedroom villa. Yeah, in a one-bedroom villa. It'll be our first time at Old Key West. First time at Old Key West. We really enjoy the deluxes. You get a little bit of extra magic hour perks in the evening. But we always rent DVC points. We know some people have had some bad experiences with that. But we actually have had really good experiences. And we've stayed with quite a few. So we'd love to bring some information to everyone about that as well. Yeah, absolutely.

[00:04:58] If this podcast is something that interests you, well, we look forward to talking to you. And we'll be releasing one, probably one a week, hopefully. Hopefully one a week. Yep. Depending on the topics and talking about news and every other thing under the Disney bubble. Yeah, try to sneak in some more extra impromptu trips. That's my favorite thing to do is try to go for one or two days. If I can convince my family to go. Yep. So if y'all want to, you can follow us on Facebook and X, formerly Twitter.
