Recently we took our first trip of the year to Disney. We have a goal of staying at all the resorts on Disney property and the latest one was Disney’s All Star Music resort. So, let’s
dive in to the 3 things we loved about this resort!
THEMING
The number one thing people will recognize about the value resorts is the theming, and let me say this resort did not disappoint with the theming! It was adorned with massive mosaics of jazz players, 3 story tall drum sets, and just about every other giant version of musical instruments you could imagine. One of the best aspects of the themeing is the pool. It is in the shape of a guitar with Huey, Dewey, and Louie in the center spraying water! Everywhere you go on this resort you are reminded of the theming and the feeling of being in the “Disney Bubble!”
THE ROOM
A somewhat kept secret at Disney is the family suites at two of the resorts, The All-Star Music and Art of Animation. These rooms provide a separate bedroom with a door, two separate bathrooms with showers, and a kitchenette with a full size fridge/freezer! These are usually cheaper than your one-bedroom villas you can book at Deluxe resorts. For our family these room are perfect for what we need; its spacious, has two fold-down Murphy beds, a separate bedroom/bathroom, and a full size fridge. If your toddler is anything like ours, having a separate bedroom is a must!
LOCATION
Now this may be kind of controversial, but we loved the location of this resort. As you know we drive to every park other than Magic Kingdom, and one of our favorite parks is Animal Kingdom now that our son is older and loves animals. The All-Star Music resort is located just outside of AK and maybe a 15 minute drive to HS and EPCOT. We did have reservations at Sanaa for dinner our last night and being so close to AK lodge was amazing! If you are looking for a value resort with great theming, a family suite that can accommodate most size families, and want to be close to AK and AK lodge then we highly recommend the All-Star Music resort!
